Langzhong (閬中) was a county in Baxi Commandery, Yi Province, on the Jialing River in what is now northern Sichuan. Zhang Fei was from Langzhong and later governed the region for Liu Bei. Huang Quan was also from Langzhong; he served Liu Bei and later, cut off after the Battle of Yiling, surrendered to Wei and became a senior Wei official.
