Nanyang Commandery (南陽郡) was a commandery of Jing Province, covering the same region as Nanyang (南陽). Huang Zhong was from Nanyang Commandery. He served Liu Biao and later Liu Bei, and was celebrated for his role at the Battle of Dingjunshan and as one of the Five Tiger Generals. See also Nanyang.
