Protector General都护

A military governor of frontier regions (都护), responsible for defending border territories and managing relations with non-Chinese peoples.

The Protector General (都护 dūhù) was a military governor responsible for frontier regions. During the Three Kingdoms, this title was used for commanders defending strategic border areas against nomadic incursions, particularly in the northwest (Liang Province) and southwest (Nanzhong).
