Shan County (山縣) was a county in Hanoi Commandery in what is now Henan. Liu Xie, posthumously known as Emperor Xian, was born there. His reign (189–220) saw the effective rule of warlords such as Dong Zhuo, Cao Cao and others, and ended with his abdication in favour of Cao Pi, marking the formal end of the Han dynasty.
