Changshe 長社

County in Yingchuan Commandery, Yu Province; birthplace of Zhong Yao and the Zhong family.

Changshe (長社) was a county in Yingchuan Commandery, Yu Province, in the central plains. It lay in what is now the Changge area of Henan.

The county was the ancestral home of the Zhong family. Zhong Yao, who served Cao Cao and later became a senior minister and famous calligrapher, was born there in 151. His son Zhong Hui, the general who later led the Wei invasion of Shu and rebelled, was also born in Changshe (recorded as Changshe County, Yingchuan Commandery) in 225.
