Yellow Biao (黄骠 huáng biāo) was Sun Quan’s prized warhorse, a golden-yellow steed that carried him through many battles during the conquest of Jiangdong. The horse was known for its stamina and courage in battle, becoming a symbol of Sun Quan’s personal leadership.

Horses were crucial military assets during the Three Kingdoms period. Famous steeds became legendary alongside their riders, and the bond between warrior and horse was celebrated in literature and art. Armor and clothing also carried symbolic significance, distinguishing rank and role.
