Zao Zhi (枣祗) was an officer under Cao Cao. He is credited with proposing and implementing the tuntian (military-agricultural colony) system, which helped feed Cao Cao’s armies. He served as Magistrate of Dong’a and was given responsibility for agricultural colonies. He appears in the sources alongside Han Hao and Xiahou Dun as one of the officers who supported Cao Cao’s early administration.
