Location
Guwei (姑臧) was the seat of Wuwei Commandery, Liang Province, on the Hexi Corridor in what is now Wuwei, Gansu. Jia Xu was born there. He served Li Jue, Zhang Xiu, and then Cao Cao, and became one of Cao Cao’s most trusted strategists and a senior Wei official.
