Lu Zhi (simplified: 盧植, traditional: 盧植, pinyin: Lú Zhí), courtesy name Zigan (子幹), was a Han dynasty scholar, general, and official. He studied under the Confucian scholar Ma Rong and became an Academician (博士), then served as Administrator of Jiujiang and Lujiang and Master of Writing (尚書). According to the Records of the Three Kingdoms, Liu Bei and Gongsun Zan studied under him. When Dong Zhuo deposed Emperor Shao (Liu Bian) and enthroned Emperor Xian (189), Lu Zhi alone spoke against the deposition; Dong Zhuo wanted to kill him but was dissuaded, and Lu Zhi fled the capital. He died in 192 (the same year Dong Zhuo was killed). He was known for his imposing stature and sonorous voice and is remembered as a scholar-official who stood against tyranny.
