Xiahou Rong 夏侯榮

Xiahou Yuan's son; talented scholar; died at 13 at the Battle of Mount Dingjun (219) with his father.

Xiahou Rong (simplified: 夏侯荣, traditional: 夏侯榮, pinyin: Xiàhóu Róng) was a son of Xiahou Yuan. He was noted as a talented scholar from a young age—reportedly able to read and remember at age seven. In 219 he was with his father at the Battle of Mount Dingjun when Huang Zhong attacked; Xiahou Yuan was killed and Xiahou Rong, aged thirteen, refused to flee and died in the fighting.
