Zhuge Rong (simplified: 諸葛融, traditional: 諸葛融, pinyin: Zhūgě Róng), courtesy name Shuchang (叔長), was Zhuge Jin’s son and Zhuge Ke’s younger brother. When Zhuge Jin died in 241, Zhuge Rong inherited his father’s troops and position, garrisoning at Gong’an. Zhu Ran’s biography notes that in 247, after Zhuge Jin and Bu Zhi had both died, Zhuge Rong and Bu Xie (Bu Zhi’s son) separately inherited their fathers’ positions, and Sun Quan appointed Zhu Ran as Grand Commander to oversee military affairs. When Zhuge Ke was killed in the coup of 253 (Sun Jun and Sun Lin), Sun Jun sent orders for Zhuge Rong to commit suicide. Zhuge Rong drank poison and died. He was known for a luxurious lifestyle and generosity to his men.
