Master of Writing尚书令

Head of the imperial secretariat (尚书令), responsible for processing all official documents and communications. One of the most powerful administrative positions.

The Master of Writing (尚书令 shàngshū lìng) headed the imperial secretariat, processing all official documents. This position became increasingly powerful during the late Han and Three Kingdoms, as it controlled the flow of information to and from the emperor. In Shu Han, Fa Zheng and later Li Yan held related positions.
