Zhang Cheng (simplified: 张承, traditional: 張承, pinyin: Zhāng Chéng), courtesy name Zhongsi (仲嗣), was the eldest son of Zhang Zhao. Recruited by Sun Quan around 219, he served as Commandant of the West Section of Changsha Commandery and pacified local tribes, recruiting thousands of troops. He was later Chief Controller of Ruxu (濡須督) and General of Vehement Might (奮威將軍), and was enfeoffed as Marquis of a Chief District (都鄉侯). He was known for judging talent well and promoted figures such as Cai Kuan and Xie Jing; he also reportedly predicted that Zhuge Ke would bring ruin to his family. He died in 244 and was posthumously honoured as Marquis Ding (定侯).
