Zhuge Dan (simplified: 诸葛诞, traditional: 諸葛誕, pinyin: Zhūgě Dàn), courtesy name Gongxiu (公休), was a general of Cao Wei and a cousin of Zhuge Liang. He held senior commands in the east. Fearing Sima Zhao’s purge of dissidents (after Guanqiu Jian and Wen Qin’s revolt), he rebelled at Shouchun in 257. Eastern Wu sent Wen Qin and others to aid him. Sima Zhao besieged Shouchun; Zhuge Dan had Wen Qin killed after a dispute. The city fell in 258; Zhuge Dan was killed trying to break out. His rebellion was the last of the three major uprisings against the Sima in Wei.
