Wen Qin (simplified: 文钦, traditional: 文欽, pinyin: Wén Qīn) was a general of Cao Wei. In 255 he joined Guanqiu Jian’s rebellion against Sima Shi; when the revolt failed he fled to Eastern Wu. In 257 Zhuge Dan rebelled at Shouchun and sought Wu’s help; Wen Qin was sent with Wu troops to aid him. Zhuge Dan grew suspicious of Wen Qin and had him killed. Wen Qin’s sons Wen Yang and Wen Hu continued to serve Wu. Guanqiu Jian and Wen Qin’s revolt is one of the three major rebellions against the Sima in Wei.
