Pei Commandery (沛郡) was a commandery of Yu Province in what is now northern Anhui and adjacent Jiangsu. Qiao County (譙縣) was in Pei. The Cao family—Cao Song, Cao Cao, Cao Ang and the rest—and the Xiahou family—Xiahou Dun, Xiahou Yuan, Xiahou Shang, Xiahou Mao, Xiahou Ba, Xiahou Xuan—were from Qiao in Pei Commandery.
