Cao Teng (simplified: 曹騰, traditional: 曹騰, pinyin: Cáo Téng), courtesy name Jixing (季興), was a powerful eunuch of the Eastern Han. He served as Central Regular Attendant (中常侍) under Emperors Shun, Chong, Zhi, and Huan and held the marquisate of Fei Village (費亭侯). He adopted Cao Song as his heir; Cao Song was the father of Cao Cao. When Cao Pi established the Wei dynasty in 220, Cao Teng was posthumously honoured as Emperor Gao of Wei (魏高帝), making him the only eunuch in Chinese history to receive an imperial posthumous title.
