Guan Yinping (simplified: 关银屏, traditional: 關銀屏, pinyin: Guān Yínpíng) was the daughter of Guan Yu, one of the founding generals of Shu Han. She married Li Yi (李遗), son of the Shu Han general Li Hui.
Biography
Guan Yinping was born into the Guan family during the turbulent late Eastern Han period. After her father Guan Yu was executed by Eastern Wu in 220 CE and her brother Guan Ping died alongside him, the family’s position became precarious.
She later married Li Yi, whose father Li Hui was a prominent general and administrator in Shu Han. The marriage connected the Guan family with another influential Shu Han family, strengthening political alliances.
Historical records about her life are sparse, but she appears in both the Records of the Three Kingdoms (三国志) and the Romance of the Three Kingdoms (三国演义), where she is sometimes portrayed as a warrior in her own right, though these martial exploits are largely fictional embellishments.
