Huaiyin (淮陰) was a county in Linhuai Commandery, Xu Province, on the Huai River in what is now the Huai’an area of Jiangsu. Bu Zhi was from Huaiyin and became Chancellor of Wu under Sun Quan. Chen Deng was also from Huaiyin and served Cao Cao as Administrator of Guangling and a key figure in the Huai region.
