County in Chenliu Commandery, Yan Province; birthplace of Mao Jie.
Location
Pingqiu (平丘) was a county in Chenliu Commandery, Yan Province, corresponding to modern Fengqiu in Henan. Mao Jie was born there. He later served Cao Cao and became known for his integrity in recommending officials and for helping to establish orderly administration in Wei territories.
