Qiantang (錢唐) was a county in Wu Commandery, Yang Province, around the mouth of the Qiantang River in what is now the Hangzhou area of Zhejiang. It was a prosperous riverside county and the home of the Quan clan. Quan Cong, a senior Wu general, and his kinsman Quan Rou were from Qiantang and played key roles in Eastern Wu politics and warfare.
