Fuchun (富春) was a county in Wu Commandery, Yang Province, on the Qiantang River in what is now the Fuyang area of Hangzhou, Zhejiang. It was the ancestral home of the Sun family. Sun Jian was from Fuchun; his sons Sun Ce, Sun Quan, Sun Yi, Sun Kuang, Sun Jiao, and relatives such as Sun Yu, Sun Shao, Sun Huan, Sun Jing, Lady Sun and others were from or associated with Fuchun. The Suns rose from local gentry to found Eastern Wu.
