County in Kuaiji Commandery, Yang Province; home of He Qi, He Jing, He Xun and Kan Ze.
Location
Shanyin (山陰) was a county in Kuaiji Commandery, Yang Province, in what is now Shaoxing in Zhejiang. It lay in the lower Yangtze and coastal region that became the core of Eastern Wu. Members of the He clan—He Qi, He Jing, He Xun—and the official Kan Ze were from Shanyin and served Sun Quan.
