Yuan Xi (simplified: 袁熙, traditional: 袁熙, pinyin: Yuán Xī) was Yuan Shao’s second son and Governor of You Province (幽州). When Yuan Shao died in 202, Yuan Tan and Yuan Shang fought over the succession; Cao Cao took Ye in 204 and defeated Yuan Shang in the field. Yuan Shang fled north to join Yuan Xi. The two brothers then took refuge with the Wuhuan chieftain Tadun. In 207 Cao Cao defeated the Wuhuan at the Battle of White Wolf Mountain; Yuan Shang and Yuan Xi fled to Liaodong. The warlord Gongsun Kang (公孫康), wishing to avoid invasion, had them killed and sent their heads to Cao Cao.

Yuan Xi’s wife Lady Zhen (甄氏) remained in Ye when the brothers fled; she later became Cao Pi’s consort and was posthumously honoured as Empress Wenzhao.
