Zhang Jing (simplified: 张靖, traditional: 張靖, pinyin: Zhāng Jìng) was the son of Zhang Hong. When Zhang Hong fell ill and died on the way back to Wu to fetch his family, he gave his son Zhang Jing a letter for Sun Quan. The letter urged Sun Quan to seek worthies, accept remonstrance, and “bear disgrace and hide your edge” to complete the great work. Sun Quan read it and wept. Few other details of Zhang Jing’s life are recorded in the sources.
