Zhang Xuan 張玄

Son of Zhang Hong; Administrator of Nan Commandery, Master of Writing; upright but less talented than his father.

Zhang Xuan (simplified: 张玄, traditional: 張玄, pinyin: Zhāng Xuán) was a son of Zhang Hong and brother of Zhang Jing. The Wu shu records that Zhang Xuan was Administrator of Nan Commandery (南郡太守) and Master of Writing (尚書), and that he was upright but less talented than his father. His son Zhang Shang served under Sun Hao as Gentleman of the Palace and Director of the Secretariat and was executed for offending the emperor. Few other details are recorded.
