Qiao County (譙縣) was the county seat of Pei State / Pei Commandery in Yu Province, corresponding to modern Bozhou in Anhui. It was the ancestral homeland of the Cao and Xiahou clans. Many members of these families, including Cao Pi, Cao Zhang, Cao Shuang, and Cao Hong, are recorded as being from Qiao County.
